1. Headboard – first impression and practical function
The headboard is the calling card of any Continental beds. When making your choice, consider three main aspects:
Location
Most headboards must stand by the wall – are not intended for outdoor use. An exception, for example, is the model Wagner, which can also be placed in the centre of the room. Larger headboards (from 150 cm high and 240 cm wide) must be to fix to the wall .
Width
The headboard can be wider than the mattress – this will create any overlap and an interesting design effect. For example, the headboard Magnum offers a width of up to 300 centimetres and a height of up to 240 cm.
Design a fabric

2. Springbox or bed base – the heart of the bed
The base forms the supporting part of the bed. When choosing, it is key to select the correct type, height, design and leg layout.
Types of bases
Royal Comfort offers four types of bases:

Correct bed height
The bed height should correspond to the user's height and be within the range of 60–70 cm. Include in the total height:

- 📦 Springbox 20, 25 or 30 cm
- 🛏️ Mattress 20–40 cm
- ➕ Topper (Mattress Topper): 6 cm (if you plan to use it)
3. Feet – the detail that makes the difference
The legs not only affect the final height of the bed, but also the overall look. When choosing, you consider height, design, colour and number.
Leg height
Legs with a height are available 6 cm or 12 cm. The height must be the same on all legs under one bed same.
Leg spread
When selecting a base, you choose one of three deployment methods:
- All visible legs – modern, airy look
- B) Legs visible only in the corners – clean lines, minimalist style
- C) Recessed / invisible feet – bed that „floats“ just above the ground
Number of legs
The simple principle applies: 6 legs under 1 box (width 80–140 cm). For larger beds (160–240 cm), which consist of 2 boxes, you will therefore need 12 pips.
4. Mattress – the foundation of quality sleep
