In Central Bohemia, where the landscape meanders around ancient residences and where time seems to flow at a different, more tranquil pace, stands a villa that is a living testament to the golden era of the First Republic. A challenge that awakens passion
When the request for a bed arrived for this villa in Central Bohemia, it was immediately clear that we were facing a task that went beyond mere delivery. The client was looking for a harmony between seemingly contrasting worlds – the boldness of modern design and respect for the First Republic atmosphere, which breathes naturally and without pretence in every corner of the villa. The bedroom had to be both dominant and humble, striking and harmonious. Every element had to pass the strict test of elegance that this place deserves.
After thorough consultation and careful listening to the wishes of the client and the space itself, we have designed a composition that captivates with the boldness of its expression at first glance – and yet feels at home in the First Republic-era bedroom.
Čelo Chess Mini – when modern architecture speaks the language of eternity
The large bed with the monumental headboard became the heart of the entire bedroom. Chess Mini, which immediately draws the eye and transforms the entire space into a thoughtful theatrical stage of relaxation. We don't perceive the Chess Mini headboard as merely a functional element – it's an architectural statement, a work of art that, with its elaborate layering of materials, creates a fascinating 3D visual effect, which lends the bedroom a depth and sophistication that the First Republic-era builders knew and loved so well.
Interwoven layers of material with a fine, refined weave create a play of light and shadow that constantly transforms throughout the day – much like the light passing through the windows of a historic villa changes the face of every nook and cranny. The high headboard design provides a sense of safety and seclusion, a kind of embrace of space around sleeping, while its generous dimensions naturally make it a dominant element of the entire room.

Below the magnificent forehead rests a bed on a base of box springs, whose philosophy is as straightforward as it is ingenious – every movement is cushioned, every moment of sleep is supported by precise technology that remains completely hidden from the eye.
